TransCanada is proud of the relationships we have built with our neighbours for more than 65 years and we are committed to consulting with stakeholders and engaging First Nations and Métis communities and organizations. TransCanada’s engagement process involves identifying all interested parties and engaging early and often to promote an open exchange of information.
We work with stakeholders throughout the permitting, construction and operation phases of the project.
Ongoing communication allows us to identify potential effects on communities and keep stakeholders informed as we work towards the responsible completion of the project.
We will share project information and seek input from Aboriginal communities and stakeholders through a number of methods. Input will be collected through project open houses, individual meetings, presentations and ongoing monitoring of project email and voicemail accounts.
TransCanada is committed to working with communities to find mutually satisfactory solutions and benefits.
